Gun dog training and scurry 20th September 10:30 Dromin House, Dromin, Co. Louth

A club event coming up on the 20th of September at Dromin House, Dromin, County Louth.
The progamme starts at 10:30am with Gun Dog training run by our Field Trial Secretary Tony Sellars. This will be followed by a Scurry in the afternoon.
We really hope to get a great turn-out on the day. All are welcome and we’d especially like to see as many Irish Water Spaniels there as possible, so if you are an owner it would be fantastic if you could make it. Of course all breeds are welcome so do invite friends and family to come along!

  1. I was there on the day and it was great to see working dogs taking part….we had a few
tricky moments…like when a trial sports pistol was discharged and most of the canine entrants scattered back to their prospective vehicles and had to be encouraged out of car boots, but that is what it is all about – learning how our dogs think and improving on our handling of them. I think everyone felt it was all worthwhile – I know I did and it was great to move for a while into the working dog world!
Many congratulations to our field Trial Secretary Tony who organised the event.
